This acquisition was disclosed through a substantial shareholding report, indicating that IFP's intentions may include making significant proposals regarding the company's management. Following the announcement, Shiseido's shares experienced a notable increase, rising as much as 12%, marking the largest gain since May 2018. Additionally, the firm is recognized for its investment strategy focused on 'pure investment' purposes. In a related development, the former Murakami Fund has also acquired a 5.11% stake in Keikyu Corporation, which may involve advising the management and making important proposals.
