Additionally, Hikari Seiko Co., Ltd. experienced a ransomware attack on January 19, 2025, with ongoing investigations to ascertain whether any data was leaked. In a separate incident, Sanrio Entertainment reported a possible breach involving up to 2 million pieces of confidential information, including personal details such as names, addresses, and My Number identification numbers, due to unauthorized access at its subsidiary managing the Sanrio Puroland theme park in Tokyo.
