
Watanabe Mai, also known as 'Sugar Baby Riri', has been sentenced to nine years in prison by a Nagoya court for defrauding three men out of approximately 159 million yen ($1.03 million) through dating sites. In addition to her prison sentence, she is ordered to pay 80 million yen ($516,000) in restitution. Mai's criminal activities included writing a 'manual' on how to commit similar frauds, which she also sold. Her fraudulent earnings were reportedly spent on a host from Kabukicho with whom she had fallen in love.
