
Metaplanet, a Tokyo-based company, is raising ¥2 billion (approximately $13.35 million) through the issuance of 0% interest bonds to increase its Bitcoin holdings. This marks the company's seventh series of ordinary bonds aimed at acquiring more Bitcoin as part of its ongoing accumulation strategy. Since May 2024, Metaplanet has reportedly amassed a total of 2,235 BTC, demonstrating a strong commitment to expanding its cryptocurrency treasury. The bonds are backed by stock acquisition rights and have a redemption date set for August 26. This initiative reflects a broader trend among corporations increasing their investments in Bitcoin amid market fluctuations.
