Mitsubishi Corporation is set to become the world's second-largest salmon farming company following its acquisition of three Norwegian firms for approximately 150 billion yen ($1 billion). The deal includes the purchase of operations from Grieg Seafood in Norway and Canada, valued at a total enterprise value of $990 million, as Grieg refocuses on salmon farming in western Norway. This transaction marks Japan's largest-ever foreign buyout in the aquaculture sector. Separately, Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK Line) has acquired a European healthcare logistics company for 21 billion yen.
