Japanese financial conglomerate SBI Holdings and its subsidiary SBI Shinsei Bank have collectively invested $50 million in Circle, the issuer of the dollar-backed stablecoin USDC, following Circle's initial public offering (IPO). The investment was evenly split between the two entities, with each contributing $25 million. Circle, a global fintech company with a market capitalization of $61 billion, is known for developing USDC, a widely used stablecoin. In addition to this investment, SBI Holdings and Circle established a joint venture earlier in March 2025 to further strengthen their collaboration in the stablecoin business.
