Square Enix has set the schedule and venues for the next round of Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festivals, the company said in a video marking the MMORPG’s 12th anniversary. The three two-day events will open at the Anaheim Convention Center on 24-25 April 2026, move to Messe Berlin on 25-26 July, and conclude at Tokyo’s Makuhari Messe on 31 October–1 November. The triennial Fan Fest cycle traditionally delivers the first details of each new expansion, with the Japanese leg typically followed by a launch four to six months later. On that precedent, the successor to the July 2024 Dawntrail expansion is unlikely to arrive before March 2027 and could slip to mid-year, marking the longest gap between major content releases outside the pandemic period. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida has signalled that the 2026 gatherings will ‘kick off major future plans’ as the game expands its multiplatform footprint, now spanning PlayStation, Xbox and PC. In the interim, Square Enix plans to carry the current storyline through patches 7.4 and 7.5 while it completes graphical upgrades and evaluates continued support for PlayStation 4.
