Kenyan detectives from the Nairobi Regional Criminal Investigations Office have arrested 11 suspects in connection with a fraudulent gold scheme. The suspects, comprising seven Kenyans and four foreign nationals, are accused of defrauding a victim of 70.6 million Kenyan shillings. Authorities also seized 350 kilograms of counterfeit gold during the operation, which took place in Spring Valley Estate. The arrests mark the dismantling of a gold scamming syndicate targeting unsuspecting victims. Separately, Nigerian authorities are seeking eight suspects linked to a CBEX cryptocurrency scam, including four Kenyans identified as Johnson Okiroh Otieno, Israel Mbaluka, Joseph Michiro Kabera, and Serah Michiro.
