Rescue efforts for Natalia Nagovistyna, a Russian climber stranded on Kyrgyzstan's highest peak, Pik Pobeda, have been suspended after more than two weeks. Nagovistyna fractured her leg and became immobilized at an altitude of approximately 7,000 meters. Harsh weather conditions forced authorities to call off the search after another climber died attempting a rescue. Despite drone footage showing Nagovistyna waving seven days after losing contact, Kyrgyz officials reported no signs of life in the subsequent days. The rescue operation was officially terminated with no successful recovery. Separately, unrelated incidents include the discovery of remains of a missing man near Flatirons Vista Trailhead in Colorado and a hiker found dead in Wyoming's Bighorn National Forest after being missing for nearly a month.
