A fatal crash involving a motorcyclist and a vehicle occurred on South Jones Boulevard near Eldora Avenue, south of West Sahara Avenue in Las Vegas. The incident was reported around 3:30 p.m. The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after. Authorities believe the motorcyclist was traveling the wrong way before colliding with an SUV. The crash has resulted in the closure of Jones Boulevard in both directions from Sahara Avenue to Eldora Avenue, as well as the highway connecting Las Vegas and Pahrump (Highway 160), which will remain closed for several hours. The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating the fatal wrong-way crash. Separately, Las Vegas Metro police are investigating another crash involving a driver who collided with multiple cars in the southwest valley, and a police officer was reported injured in a separate crash near the Las Vegas Strip earlier the same morning.
