The city’s Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) is encouraging other freelancers with unpaid invoices to come forward and file claims within the 30-day deadline. New York City officials emphasized the importance of timely payments to freelancers and are holding BuzzFeed accountable for failing to meet this obligation.
