The Arkansas Attorney General has filed a lawsuit against Temu, alleging that the online shopping platform is actually dangerous malware. The lawsuit claims that Temu grants itself access to virtually all data on a user’s cell phone, posing significant privacy violations. The Arkansas AG has warned that Temu is not comparable to legitimate marketplaces like Amazon or Walmart, describing it instead as a data-theft business that uses the sale of goods as a means to an end.
