Bayer AG said its Monsanto subsidiary has reached agreements in principle to settle lawsuits brought by more than 200 plaintiffs who allege injuries from exposure to polychlorinated biphenyls at the Sky Valley Education Center near Seattle. The company did not disclose financial terms, saying they remain confidential and are subject to the completion and court approval of final settlement documents. Bayer added that the cost of the additional settlements is already covered by a PCB-litigation provision recorded in the second quarter of 2025. Jury verdicts against the company in nine earlier Sky Valley cases, involving 49 plaintiffs, are not part of the new agreements and remain under appeal.
