A court has approved a settlement deal for investors in TD Bank's mutual funds, following a series of challenges faced by the bank. Additionally, in response to a historic money-laundering scandal, TD Bank reduced the previous year's compensation for its U.S. executive, Leo Salom. Despite this reduction, the bank awarded Salom a $2 million retention bonus, highlighting ongoing efforts to stabilize leadership amid scrutiny.
