Elon Musk has requested a federal judge to dismiss a proposed class action lawsuit filed by voters who allege that he defrauded them into signing a petition supporting the U.S. Constitution for a chance to win his $1 million-a-day giveaway. The lawsuit, which was brought forward by Arizona residents, claims that Musk's promotion of the giveaway constituted fraudulent activity. In a related matter, the Ninth Circuit Court rejected Musk's request to immediately appeal a judge's decision to certify a class of Twitter investors who accuse him of fraudulently tweeting about a bot problem to evade his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter. Musk maintains that the $1 million giveaway is not an illegal lottery, countering claims made by critics and legal challengers.
