Environmental Groups Sue Suncor for Over 9,000 Violations at Colorado Refinery
Environmental groups have filed a lawsuit against Suncor Energy, alleging that pollution from the company's Commerce City refinery in Colorado has resulted in long-lasting harm to surrounding communities. The lawsuit claims that Suncor violated the Clean Air Act more than 9,000 times over the past five years. Earthjustice and its clients documented at least 9,209 days of Clean Air Act violations by Suncor during this period.
