
Equinox Group and SoulCycle have agreed to a settlement with the New York Attorney General's office addressing difficulties customers faced when attempting to cancel gym memberships. As part of the agreement, Equinox Group will pay up to $600,000 collectively to New York residents who were enrolled at its high-end fitness facilities. Additionally, New York members of Equinox and SoulCycle may be eligible for refunds of up to $250. Separately, Equinox and Capital Healthcare, LLC (AllCare) will pay more than $117,000 and implement reforms to resolve allegations regarding unlawful noncompete agreements required of employees. The settlement aims to reform business practices and provide restitution to affected customers and employees.
