The individual, who was not registered in Maryland to conduct such activities, pleaded guilty to the charges. In a separate case, a Denver-area man received a five-year sentence for his involvement in a $300 million telemarketing scheme. Additionally, another man, posing as a financial advisor, was sentenced for stealing over $100,000 from a former client, according to officials.
