Louis Masaschi, a 59-year-old from Longmeadow, Massachusetts, has pleaded guilty to his role in a $19 million loan fraud scheme. The scheme involved forging lease agreements and providing fraudulent rent rolls for properties in Massachusetts and Connecticut, including Springfield, East Longmeadow, and Enfield, to deceive lenders. Masaschi, along with Christine Gendron from Feeding Hills, Massachusetts, and Jeannette Norman, conspired to defraud commercial lenders. Gendron, who worked as a financial manager for JLL Realty Developers, LLC, has also agreed to plead guilty to her part in the conspiracy. The fraudulent activities took place between May 2016 and November 2018, resulting in a total loss of $19,305,473. Masaschi and his co-conspirators sought approximately $60,123,000 in loans during this period.
