The hotel chain recently faced a lawsuit from Sony Music, which accused Marriott of misusing hundreds of its songs in advertisements on social media. However, Sony Music has announced it will dismiss the lawsuit, as confirmed to a Delaware federal court. In a separate legal matter, Marriott is also facing a defamation and negligence lawsuit stemming from alleged actions by an employee. This lawsuit was filed in King County Superior Court two days after the former employee resigned.
