Nvidia Corp. disclosed in a Form 10-Q filed on 27 Aug 2025 that U.S. government officials have told the company they expect to receive 15 percent of the revenue generated from licensed sales of its H20 artificial-intelligence processors, which are aimed at customers in China. The chipmaker said no regulation imposing such a levy has been published and warned that any formal demand for the payment "may subject us to litigation" and create additional regulatory and financial risks. Nvidia added that uncertainty over the prospective charge could complicate its efforts to expand domestic production and manage compliance with existing export controls.
