Paralegal and Director Win £109k and £560k Tribunal Awards for Unfair Dismissals

A former paralegal at a London law firm has been awarded over £109,000 ($144,239) after an employment tribunal found that the firm unfairly dismissed her. The tribunal determined that the firm had refused to pay her full salary for more than a year due to her disabilities before terminating her employment. In a separate case, a compliance director at a foreign exchange brokerage received more than £560,000 ($740,000) after a tribunal ruled that he was unlawfully dismissed for reporting the firm to financial regulators over alleged illicit activities.
