zkLend, a Starknet-based decentralized lending platform, has confirmed a security breach resulting in the theft of approximately $9.5 million in Ethereum (ETH). The platform has offered the hacker a 10% white hat bounty, amounting to around 660 ETH, in exchange for the return of the remaining 90% of the stolen funds, which totals 3,300 ETH. zkLend has temporarily suspended withdrawal functions and is actively investigating the exploit in collaboration with blockchain security experts and law enforcement agencies. The stolen ETH was initially bridged to Ethereum and moved through the privacy protocol Railgun, but was redirected to the original address due to Railgun's internal policies. The platform has set a deadline of February 14, 2025, for the hacker to comply with the return of the funds, warning of legal action if the funds are not returned.
