Bitcoin Whale Sells 80,000 BTC Untouched Since 2011 Worth $9 Billion Through Galaxy Digital Amid Large XRP, USDT, and ETH Transfers
A Bitcoin whale sold 80,000 BTC, valued at over $9 billion, through Galaxy Digital in a historic transaction involving coins untouched since 2011. Despite the large sale, Bitcoin's price remained relatively stable. Additional notable transfers included 1,104 BTC worth approximately $130.9 million moved between unknown wallets, and 7,625 BTC valued at around $900 million transferred from Coinbase to an unknown wallet. On July 25, 2,500 BTC (approximately $296 million) were withdrawn from Galaxy Digital wallets, coinciding with increased selling pressure. Large transfers of other cryptocurrencies were also observed, including over 33.6 million XRP (totaling about $106.3 million) sent to Coinbase, 137 million USDT (around $137.3 million) transferred to Coinbase, and 12,749 ETH (worth $49.25 million) received by a new wallet from FalconX, bringing its total ETH holdings to 80,174 ETH valued at $302.72 million.
