Bybit has published its 25th Proof of Reserves snapshot as of August 14, revealing a 5.61% increase in user Bitcoin holdings to 58,900 BTC and a 6.59% rise in Ethereum holdings to 604,000 ETH, while USDT holdings declined by 4.75% to 4.85 billion USDT. Meanwhile, Bitget, a cryptocurrency exchange with over 120 million users and more than $8 billion in total assets, has adopted Chainlink's Proof of Reserve on the Ethereum blockchain to enhance transparency for its wrapped Bitcoin asset, BGBTC. Additionally, Bitget has launched Real World Asset (RWA) Index Perpetual Contracts that include tokenized equities such as Tesla (TSLA), Nvidia (NVDA), and Circle (CRCL). These contracts, which offer up to 10x leverage, are built from third-party RWA issuers and follow mechanisms similar to crypto perpetual contracts, including multi-source price aggregation and weighted calculations. The introduction of these RWA perpetual contracts provides traders with new access to institutional-grade assets, now available across multiple platforms including Coinbase's decentralized exchange, Bitget Wallet, and others, expanding the reach of deRWA tokens to over 200 million users across the EVM ecosystem.
