Billionaire cryptocurrency entrepreneur Brock Pierce said in a Fox News interview on 12 August that Bitcoin is “going to $1,000,000” and is likely to climb “much higher” over time, renewing a wave of ultra-bullish forecasts for the world’s largest digital asset. Pierce’s outlook coincides with a new peer-reviewed paper by economist Dr. Murray A. Rudd and the research group Satoshi Action Education, which uses a supply-and-demand model and 10,000 Monte Carlo simulations to estimate a 75% probability that Bitcoin will exceed $4.81 million by 2036. The study’s more aggressive scenarios put the price near $10 million in the early 2030s and $20 million by 2035, attributing the potential surge to shrinking tradable supply and steady institutional accumulation. Bitcoin’s historical performance remains far below those levels. Data compiled by analyst Wayne Vaughan show a compound annual growth rate of about 28.5% between December 2021—when 90% of the eventual 21 million‐coin supply had been mined—and August 2025. While some market observers caution that past gains do not guarantee future returns, prominent industry figures continue to float targets ranging from $250,000 to $1 million, underscoring the wide uncertainty around Bitcoin’s long-term valuation.
