Digital Asset Investment Products Hit Record $4.39B Weekly Inflows, YTD $27B; Bitcoin $2.7B, Ethereum $1.59B
Digital asset investment products have experienced consistent inflows over the first seven months of 2025, marking a sustained period of investor interest. In late June, inflows reached $2.7 billion for the week, extending the streak to 11 consecutive weeks and pushing year-to-date (YTD) inflows to $16.9 billion. Bitcoin led with $2.2 billion in inflows, while Ethereum added $429 million. By early July, inflows continued with $1.03 billion recorded in a week, marking the 12th consecutive week and raising assets under management (AuM) to a record $188 billion. Ethereum showed notable gains, attracting 1.6% of AuM inflows compared to Bitcoin's 0.8%. Mid-July saw a surge with $3.7 billion in weekly inflows, the second-highest on record, bringing total YTD inflows to $22.7 billion. Bitcoin accounted for $2.7 billion, and Ethereum posted its fourth-largest weekly inflow at $990 million. The following week set a new record with $4.39 billion in weekly inflows, surpassing the previous high of $4.27 billion from December 2024, and pushing YTD inflows to $27 billion and AuM to $220 billion. However, in late July, Ethereum led inflows with $1.59 billion in its second-largest week ever, while Bitcoin faced outflows, contributing only $175 million to the $1.9 billion total inflows for that week. Overall, the digital asset investment sector has demonstrated robust growth and record inflows through mid-2025, with Ethereum gaining ground relative to Bitcoin in recent weeks.
