Blockchain‐analysis firms Arkham Intelligence and Lookonchain say four newly created cryptocurrency wallets have accumulated 78,891 Ether—valued at roughly $358 million—during a 30-hour span ending early 28 Aug. All of the tokens were routed through prime broker FalconX, according to on-chain transfer records. The buying began with a $69.4 million trade and was followed by a $56 million addition several hours later, pushing the addresses’ combined holdings past $196 million before further inflows lifted the total to the current level. Analysts tracking the wallets believe they may be associated with digital-asset miner BitMine, although ownership has not been confirmed. The move adds to a broader shift into Ether by large holders. Separate on-chain data show a Bitcoin whale converting thousands of BTC for more than $3 billion in Ether this week. The concentrated purchases come ahead of the fourth quarter, a period some traders expect to bring greater volatility to the second-largest cryptocurrency.
