Hyperliquid has launched native staking for its $HYPE token on its mainnet, allowing users to lock up their tokens and earn rewards. As of December 31, 2024, over $344 million in HYPE tokens have been staked, making it a prominent feature for the decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol. The staking initiative has contributed to a surge in HYPE's market capitalization, which now stands at approximately $9 billion, positioning it among the top 25 tokens in the market. Following the launch, HYPE's price has increased by 604% since November 29, 2024, and the staking mechanism is expected to enhance network security while reducing token supply. Hyperliquid's blockchain is capable of processing 20,000 operations per second, further supporting its staking capabilities.

Expanding the indexer of Bitcoin asset standards unlocks insane scale. Imagine zk-STARK based trustless Runes teleportation to/from L1 via light-weight verifier/rollup in the indexer. Enter high TPS and AMMs on Starknet. https://t.co/giqfmKFBGN
Have seen a lot of bad takes about $hype being “capped” mostly by scalpers and people native CT capital rotators. Not understanding that retail, funds, and LST capital are largely off the books still. https://t.co/Dxla5l2TFz
Hyperliquid has hit $1T in all time volume with just a niche USDC bridge on Arbitrum. Can you imagine what will happen when native bridges from BTC/ETH/SOL open up? When native spot assets from those chains become tradable on Hyperliquid? https://t.co/R78qCeJjSf
