Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has added the REKT token to its platform in post-only mode, allowing users to deposit the asset starting 26 Aug. The exchange typically opens full trading after an initial post-only period, giving market makers time to seed liquidity. Interest in REKT has risen in recent weeks after beverage company Rekt Drinks distributed the token to customers who purchased its “Liquid Gold” product as part of a next-generation loyalty programme. One buyer said the airdrop was worth roughly US$400, exceeding the amount spent on the drinks. The Kraken listing gives the fast-growing token a major venue and underscores exchanges’ efforts to capture demand for niche assets tied to consumer-brand reward schemes.
