
Mt. Gox, the defunct cryptocurrency exchange, has transferred a significant amount of Bitcoin from its cold storage. According to Arkham Intelligence, Mt. Gox moved 47,229 BTC, valued at approximately $2.71 billion, to a new wallet. The transfer, which occurred at 8:27 UTC+8, involved multiple wallets and included at least one transfer to the exchange Bitbank. The largest transfer was approximately $24. This movement is reportedly part of the preparations for refunding claimants, which is expected to commence in early July. The entire transfer was executed for a fee of $3.59.
