On August 11 and 13, 2025, multiple large transfers of stablecoins USDT and USDC took place involving major cryptocurrency platforms and wallets. On August 11, Bitfinex transferred 150 million USDT (approximately $150 million) to the Tether Treasury, which was shortly returned with a similar amount. Later that day, another 200 million USDT (around $200 million) moved from Bitfinex to the Tether Treasury and back. On August 13, a notable transfer of 300 million USDT (nearly $300 million) occurred from Aave to HTX. Additionally, significant USDC activity was recorded: over 235 million USDC (about $234.9 million) was transferred from an unknown wallet to Ceffu, and 53.3 million USDC (approximately $53.3 million) was burned at the USDC Treasury. Most prominently, over 400 million USDC were freshly minted at the USDC Treasury, with a total of 500 million USDC (close to $500 million) transferred from the USDC Treasury to an unknown wallet, and then moved again between unknown wallets. Large Ethereum transfers were also noted, including 20,000 ETH (valued at about $94.2 million) from Abraxas to Bitfinex and 13,000 ETH (around $61.5 million) from Arbitrum to Binance. The recent minting and transfers of USDC have been highlighted as potential indicators of increased liquidity and possible upward momentum in the cryptocurrency market.
