The X account of Andy Ayrey, founder of Truth Terminal, was hacked, leading to the promotion of a scam token called Infinite Backrooms (IB). The hacker exploited the account to post about the token, which resulted in over $600,000 being stolen from users. The incident occurred at 1:50 am UTC on October 29, when the hacker's post caused the market cap of IB to surge to over $25 million. The deployer account collected 12.5% of the token supply, while hype-driven investors boosted its market cap. The hacker made $602.5K in less than 1 hour. The compromised account also led to widespread warnings from various users and entities advising others to report and avoid the fraudulent activities. Efforts are underway to regain control of the account and secure the funds.
This is NOT me!! https://t.co/YDqHNdZlJu Please, if you’re on telegram, report this fake account. He’s copying all my posts, posting there and then selling crypto. I’m not on telegram. All help is appreciated. https://t.co/lqoQZotCks
So @AndyAyrey's twitter got hacked last night. Is it possible that the @truth_terminal twitter has been hacked this whole time as well and the hacker is just slipping in the occasional tweet about a coin they've pre-bought? Would also explain the typos. https://t.co/guziaVpnY2
