Binance has announced the launch of new perpetual contracts for several cryptocurrencies, including Alpaca Finance (ALPACA) and POPCAT, both offering up to 75x leverage. The ALPACA perpetual contract will be available starting August 22, 2024, at 10:30 UTC. Additionally, Binance will introduce perpetual contracts for POPCAT and SUN, which are also set to feature the same leverage. Following Binance's announcement, trading activity surged for POPCAT, which saw a 28.3% increase in value over the past 24 hours. A significant whale transaction was noted, with a user withdrawing 39,816 SOL (approximately $5.73 million) from Binance to purchase 10 million POPCAT tokens. This surge in interest has positioned POPCAT as the biggest gainer among the top 100 tokens by market capitalization, highlighting a resurgence in the memecoin market.
