
A broad cryptocurrency market rally has led to over $1.14 billion in liquidations in the past 24 hours, with 248,048 traders affected. Short positions accounted for $838 million of the total, while long positions made up $134 million. Bitcoin reclaimed the $100,000 mark for the first time since February, briefly reaching highs around $104,000. Ethereum surged over 20% to surpass $2,400. Solana and Dogecoin also posted double-digit percentage gains. Ethereum traders experienced the largest liquidations, with over $434 million in positions closed, followed by Bitcoin with more than $307 million in liquidations. Solana saw over $47 million in onchain liquidations, surpassing the $31 million on centralized exchanges. Dogecoin accounted for $19 million in liquidations. The single-largest liquidation was an $11.97 million Bitcoin position on Binance. Centralized exchanges such as Binance and OKX accounted for over $500 million of the total liquidations, while $877 million in liquidations occurred on centralized exchanges overall. Notable whale trades included a $36.3 million ETH long position and a $4.77 million loss on an ETH short in under 8 hours. A $16 million SOL short position was also reported. Altcoins saw significant activity, with PEPE up 42%, reclaiming a $4 billion market cap, ranking in the top 23 by market capitalization, and becoming a top 5 token by volume. Large transfers were observed, including 7.1 trillion PEPE ($78.8 million), 189,000 ETH ($418.7 million), 46.5 million XRP ($106.7 million), and 10.3 million TRUMP ($142.8 million). Whale activity in PEPE and TRUMP tokens included a $6.34 million PEPE transfer and a $5.52 million TRUMP purchase.
