Dogwifcoin's Official X Account Reportedly Hacked, $WIF Users Warned to Avoid Links and Enable 2FA

Concerns are rising over the security of the Dogwifcoin's official account on X, as multiple reports indicate that the account has been compromised. The incident was first highlighted by DegenerateNews, which stated that the Dogwifcoin account is presumed to be hacked. Following this, JakeGagain confirmed that the $WIF account also appears to have been hacked. Harpieio issued a warning urging users not to click on any links posted from the compromised account. JakeGagain further advised users to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) and utilize secure methods such as Google Authenticator or YubiKey, emphasizing that traditional 2FA linked to phone numbers or emails is inadequate. BSCNheadlines also reported that the official X account for DOGWIFHAT ($WIF) may have been compromised, adding to the growing concern within the cryptocurrency community regarding the safety of meme coin accounts.
