The Twitter account of Solana-based decentralized exchange aggregator Jupiter Exchange was compromised on February 6, 2025. Hackers used the account to promote a fraudulent token named $MEOW, which briefly surged to a valuation of $30 million before collapsing in a rug pull. Some traders, including ilydontrugme.sol who lost $3,600, were affected by the scam. Jupiter Exchange confirmed that its products and treasury assets were not impacted by the incident. Users were advised to avoid clicking on any links or interacting with suspicious tokens shared via the compromised account. The account has since been secured.
