Mazatlán Beats Cruz Azul 2-1 to Lift International Football Cup

Mazatlán FC captured the inaugural International Football Cup by defeating Cruz Azul 2–1 in the final at Estadio Luis “Pirata” Fuente in Veracruz. Roberto Meraz opened the scoring in the third minute and Jordan Sierra restored the lead with a long-range strike midway through the second half. Both Mexican sides will meet again on 12 July in Mexico City to open the Liga MX Apertura 2025 campaign, when Cruz Azul will look to avenge the setback.
