Mexicana de Aviación has received its third Embraer E195-E2 aircraft at the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) as part of its strategic plan to acquire a total of 20 new aircraft. The delivery was confirmed by Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, who emphasized that commitments are being fulfilled. The third Embraer E195-E2 arrived at AIFA on August 23, 2025, and the airline operated its first commercial flight with this model on August 25, departing from AIFA to Tulum. The Embraer E195-E2 is noted for its fuel efficiency, reduced CO2 emissions, and quieter cabin. The arrival of these aircraft is part of Mexicana de Aviación's efforts to modernize its fleet under state ownership.
