Mexico's Foreign Minister Juan Ramón de la Fuente stated that the recent suspension of U.S. visas for foreign truck drivers will not affect Mexican truckers, as their B visas are protected under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (T-MEC). The Mexican government highlighted a 91% reduction in migrant flow at the U.S.-Mexico border, with numbers dropping from 3,640 migrants on October 1, 2024, to 285 as of August 20, 2025, according to the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs (SRE).
