Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo inaugurated the Marinabús, a new maritime transportation system in Acapulco operated by the Secretariat of the Navy (SEMAR). The Marinabús aims to benefit thousands of daily commuters and strengthen the local economy. The project revitalizes a space that had been inactive for 14 years and is part of the city's recovery efforts following Hurricane Otis. The system is designed to provide a fast, safe, and sustainable way to traverse Acapulco's bay, reaching speeds of up to 17 km per hour. Additionally, Sheinbaum reopened operations at Module 11 of Terminal 1 at Mexico City's Benito Juárez International Airport after over three months of remodeling, with the upgrade occurring less than a year before the World Cup. She also expressed pride in the recovery of Mexicana de Aviación, describing it as an extraordinary achievement to have "a people's airline."
