
U.S. stock markets opened the week positively, with the Dow Jones gaining 0.85%, the S&P 500 rising 0.64%, and the Nasdaq increasing by 0.31%. However, by March 18, the indices closed negatively, with the Dow Jones down 0.92%, the S&P 500 falling 1.08%, and the Nasdaq decreasing by 1.41%. The Mexican peso experienced fluctuations, initially holding at 19.92 per dollar before depreciating to around 20.05 in interbank trading. As of March 19, the peso was reported at 20.05 in interbank transactions and 20.56 at Citibanamex. Meanwhile, the price of Mexican crude oil remained stable at $63.82 per barrel, while Bitcoin saw a decline of 2.36%, settling at $81,972 per unit. Gold prices rose by 1.18%, reaching $3,041.69 per ounce.
