The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it launched a series of airstrikes on multiple Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon on 28 August. According to the military, the targets included infrastructure facilities and at least one rocket-launching platform operated by the Iranian-backed group. The raids followed the interception of an unmanned aerial vehicle that Israeli officials said had been launched from Yemen earlier in the day.
