The Technology Innovation Institute (TII) in the UAE has launched Falcon 3, a new family of open-source AI models featuring 30 model checkpoints ranging from 1 billion to 10 billion parameters. Falcon 3 is designed to optimize performance for various applications, including science, mathematics, and language understanding. The models are licensed under Apache 2.0 and include both base and instruction-tuned variants, supporting four languages: English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. Falcon 3 boasts a context length of up to 32,000 tokens and has achieved state-of-the-art results in reasoning, language understanding, instruction following, and code tasks. Dr. Hakim Hacid, Chief Researcher at TII, emphasized the model's efficiency and accessibility, positioning Falcon 3 as a significant advancement in AI technology aimed at empowering businesses and individuals.
