Fathom Entertainment said it will return “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze” to U.S. cinemas in March 2026, marking the 35th anniversary of the 1991 sequel. The announcement follows a surprisingly strong rerelease of the 1990 original film, which has generated more than $3 million in domestic box-office receipts, prompting Fathom to extend that run for an additional week through Aug. 28. Saga Arts and Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group are partnering on the project. Separately, WEBTOON and IDW Publishing will debut a vertical-scroll adaptation of the acclaimed comic “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin” on Aug. 23 at 5 p.m. Pacific, with the first three episodes available immediately and subsequent chapters posting weekly. The twin moves underscore renewed commercial momentum for the four-decade-old franchise across film and digital platforms.
