Universal Pictures is developing a new film adaptation of the Archie comics, with acclaimed filmmakers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller attached as producers. The duo, known for their work on The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street, and the Spider-Verse films, will bring their creative vision to this project. In addition to the Archie movie, there are reports of two Archie Comics adaptations potentially in development. Meanwhile, other notable projects include the film Hex, created by the team behind Coyote vs. Acme and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, which has been acquired by 20th Century Studios. Director Jay Oliva is also working on an adaptation of Robert A. Heinlein's Citizen of the Galaxy, and filmmaker Ed Zwick is developing a Western.
