Singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter has released the music video for her new single “Tears,” expanding promotion for the track ahead of her forthcoming album. The short film, published online on 29 August, was directed with a cinematic approach and features Oscar-nominated actor Colman Domingo in drag, adding a theatrical element to the visual narrative. The video marks Carpenter’s latest high-profile collaboration as she continues a year of sustained chart presence following the success of her earlier singles. Neither the artist nor her label disclosed budget figures, but the elaborate production underscores Carpenter’s growing investment in immersive storytelling to strengthen audience engagement.
