Wynn Las Vegas has barred a Justin Bieber impersonator who took the stage at the resort’s XS Nightclub on 16 August after convincing staff and the evening’s headliner, electronic artist Gryffin, that the real pop star wanted to make an unannounced appearance. The resort said the look-alike and an accompanying “advance team” used an elaborate, multi-step ruse to obtain backstage access. The man performed Bieber’s hit “Sorry” for roughly four minutes—completing two songs, according to witnesses—and accumulated a bar tab running into the thousands before security realised the deception and escorted him out. The performer has been identified on social media as French entertainer Dylan Desclos, who has appeared professionally as a Bieber double for years. Desclos’s manager said the group told staff they were impersonators and maintained they had no intent to mislead, characterising the incident as a routine appearance that escalated unexpectedly. Wynn said the individual has been removed from the property and is “denied future entry.” While no criminal charges have been announced, the resort is reviewing its artist-verification procedures after the high-profile breach at one of Las Vegas’s best-known nightclubs.
