Dust Storm Warnings and Severe Thunderstorm Alert Impact Arizona Counties Including Pinal, Cochise, and Interstate 10 Areas

Multiple dust storm warnings and advisories have been issued across several counties in Arizona, including Cochise, Pima, Pinal, Santa Cruz, Graham, and Greenlee. These advisories have been in effect intermittently from August 12 through August 15, 2025, with specific warnings near Interstate 10 around Eloy, Casa Grande, and Picacho Peak. Authorities have emphasized the importance of safety measures, advising drivers to pull aside and stay alive if caught in a dust storm, and cautioning against driving into such storms or using hazard lights while stopped. Additionally, a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Pima County until 6:45 PM MST on August 15. The Arizona Department of Transportation and local weather services have actively communicated these warnings to the public to mitigate risks associated with the adverse weather conditions.
