Ondas Holdings Inc. led a busy morning of capital-raising among small-cap companies, announcing an upsized public offering of roughly 46.2 million shares at $3.25 apiece to raise $150 million. The discounted pricing sent Ondas shares down about 18 percent in pre-market trading on Wednesday. Several peers also turned to the equity market at steep discounts. Oil-field services company ProFrac priced a $75 million offering at $4 a share, pushing its stock nearly 37 percent lower before the opening bell. Comstock dropped about 18 percent after the mining firm said it would raise $30 million by selling shares at $2.25. Electronics manufacturer TSS set a $17 price for a $51 million stock sale, while streaming platform CuriosityStream launched a secondary offering at $3.50. Their shares fell roughly 5 percent and 6 percent, respectively. The cluster of discounted sales underscores the growing reliance of smaller, cash-hungry companies on public equity markets despite the short-term hit to valuations.
